I kill me with the humor. Really, how do I stand myself?
So. We are starting Atkins Induction. I can't decide if the man was an evil genius or just a regular old genius.
Sidebar, your honor.
You know, I used to think low carb was a crock. I did. I was so into the low fat thing that I just could not wrap my brain around being able to eat food that actually tasted good and still lose weight. I totally bought in to the low fat will change your life thing. And you know what? It did! Eating low fat did change my life. I gained 75 lbs.
I mean, I was a vegan for cripes sake. A vegan. Not for the animal rights reason, either. Don't get me wrong -I love animals as much as the next person. They taste good with ketchup. But really. What was I thinking?
Part of the reason that I didn't believe it was because instead of finding out for myself, I relied on what other people had to say. Which is so funny, because I never do that. When I was in College I did a career counseling thing and they suggested that I either go into research or become a full time student so that I could write papers all the time. Really. People call me to research things for them. And you can too! Just call 1-800-ask-a-dork. (I really wish that the above were exaggerated for comedic (*cough*) effect, but sadly it wasn't.)
It is funny that the thing that finally made me think about low carb is being so sick. If being so sick you are going to die is funny, I suppose.
What were we talking about? Oh right. Food. K, here it is. Sorry for rambling but I have been talking to 2,4 and 6 year olds all weekend. Cut me some slack.
The boys will be gone as of Wednesday, so the food might get boring. Or be brought home for me already cooked. (Not a bad gig, if you can get it.) Marty has to work nights this week, so dinner will be boring.
